How Timecapsule works for your business
There are three ways to experience Timecapsule. We help businesses sell to their customers, families manage Timecapsules for their loved ones, and display those memories to anyone who uses their mobile phone to access a QR code or NFC tag.
Business Dashboard
The business dashboard helps you to create new Timecapsules and manage your customers. You’ll get analytics on activations and how they are using their Timecapsules. You’ll have access to new marketing material, such as PDF brochures and even emails to send out too.
Timecapsule App
The Timecapsule app is where families will login to manage their memories of their loved ones. This app allows them to create stories of their loved ones, upload photos, videos, and audio files. They’ll also be able to manage settings and preferences of the Timecapsule.
Gift App
The Gift app is the actual memorial website that you access when you scan the QR code or NFC chip with your mobile phone. This displays memories that have been created from the Timecapsule app.
Products to Sell
These are some products that we’ve created that we believe customers will want to have to remember their loved ones. As a partner, we can work with you to create your own unique Timecapsules as well.
NFC Enabled Products
Ceramic Tile
These ceramic tiles are intended to be affixed onto headstones. You can’t see it, but there is an NFC chip placed behind the tile, so all you need to do is tap your phone to the tile to pull up the memorial page of the loved one.
QR Code Enabled Products
Who is Timecapsule For?
Timecapsule was made for those we love. It can be for individuals, couples, even monuments of many people. Below are two example websites we’ve built on Timecapsule.
Individuals
Building a Timecapsule website for an individual revolves around the memories you made with that person. You create stories that have written word, video, pictures, and audio files. Whatever you have to remember your loved one, we are working to build a way for you to store those memories.
Couples
Timecapsule allows you to build memories for couples. You decide how you want to organize these memories. When you view the demo you’ll see that we created a section for each individual, as well as memories that involved the couple together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are a list of questions I thought would be good to answer. We are still in the process of defining what these answers are below because we need your help to understand what is best for your business. If there’s anything you’d like to talk about more, please let us know if the contact form below.
We charge you as the business to run our software, which is $10 per month. We also charge a one-time setup fee of $50 to make and send you NFC chips for 50 Timecapsules. We don’t charge anything for the family or individual to manage their Timecapsule.
You are welcome as the business to charge whatever you’d like to your customers. With you already making and selling ceramic tiles on headstones, you know better how you will price to make it worth it for your business.
When you sign up, we’ll send you 50 NFC chips that each are attached to their own unique Timecapsule URL. This will allow you to sell to 50 customers. When you are getting low you can always order more NFC chips through the business dashboard.
Besides the monthly subscription fee and the cost to make new NFC chips, there are no other hidden fees to use our Timecapsule software.
We provide the NFC chips to digitize the ceramic tiles, but we allow you as the business to still make the ceramic tiles that you already are doing.
Yes, each Timecapsule has its own unique URL that can be access through an NFC tag or QR code. Just because you access the Timecapsule through an NFC tag through the ceramic tile, you can download the QR code image that will also take you to this Timecapsule URL. These QR codes can be printed or engraved on any material you’d like.
Yes. When you sell a Timecapsule you as the business are able to redirect to any existing website such as your companies obituary website. The family is able to build their own website using the Timecapsule if they’d like as well.
If the family chooses to build their own website, they are able to build memories uploading written stories, image galleries, embed YouTube videos, and audio files. They are also able to redirect specific memories to external websites. We are continuing to build new features for families to add to their Timecapsule website.
You can see our ecommerce store at timecapsule.gifts/products. For any customers that you sell to, we hide our online store to them when they are logged in. We don’t sell any ceramic tiles through our store so this would be something unique to buy through you as the reseller.
Yes. Through the business dashboard you’ll be able to download marketing material that you can use to sell to your customers. We will continue to add to this marketing library so that you’ll have access to PDF brochures, and other image assets that you can use for your business.
When you sell a Timecapsule, it will come with a set of instructions for your customers. These instructions can be printed out, or sent out digitally that takes them to a personalized page that walks them through each step of signing up and activating their Timecapsule so they can begin building memories.
We will offer all technical support to your customers. Our goal is to build the best software possible for building memories about your loved ones, and if any of our users run into questions or issues we provide many ways for them to get in contact with us. You won’t have to worry about answering questions pertaining to their experience logging in and using the software. If they have other questions that pertain more to your business and interaction with them, then we let you be the ones to offer support there.
